The Namibian Night

Namibian Nights from Squiver on Vimeo.

This film by Marsel van Oosten and Daniella Sibbing is one of the most original timelapse films we’ve seen. It’s set in the Namibian desert at night, and the piece was shot over 2 years with Nikon D3, D3s and D4 cameras. The film contains over 16,000 images, and features the fairytale-like quivertrees and eery, dead camelthorn trees in Deadvlei. The film won the 2012 Travel Photographer Of The Year Award.
